Transportation Engineering Research

Transportation systems are highly complex, and continue to present significant challenges in our everyday lives. Transportation engineers at UFTI seek innovative solutions to meeting urban or regional mobility needs. Research involves the planning, design, Operations, monitoring or optimization of transportation and other infrastructure systems towards achieving safety, sustainability, and economic efficiency. Current research initiatives focus on autonomous and connected vehicles, big data in transportation, transportation and air quality, electric mobility, and economic competitiveness.
